Job Summary
Oversee, maintain, and perform tooling changes and setup for electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and other production equipment in the Fresh Department. Evaluate problematic systems to determine necessary installation or repair services, ensuring all company, OSHA, GMP, and food safety procedures are followed during tasks. Inspect work for completeness, inform supervisors upon completion, and keep routine and PM records up to date. Install, repair, and maintain related systems while transferring equipment between projects as needed. Update inventories and perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as assigned. Weld MIG/TIG, stick, and sanitary as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED or related technical field
- At least two years of education and training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area
- One year experience in maintenance operations including two years in a supervisory capacity
- Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties
- Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions
- Ability to weld MIG/TIG, stick, and sanitary
- Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain the basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other related systems
- Ability to follow all food safety programs and policies
- Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors
