Job Summary
The French Speaking Kindergarten Teacher delivers developmentally appropriate, LDOE standards-aligned instruction in French while fostering students' academic, social, emotional, and language development. This role creates a nurturing and engaging learning environment where young learners develop foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and oral language through immersive French instruction. Plan and deliver engaging instruction, foster growth in early literacy and numeracy, differentiate instruction, monitor progress, communicate with families, collaborate with staff, supervise students, and write a weekly newsletter for parents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Native or near-native fluency in French.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required employment clearances, including fingerprint-based criminal history review and any state-required child protection clearances.
- Ability to complete all required onboarding and annual compliance training.
- Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.
- Louisiana nonpublic school employment, credentialing, and eligibility requirements for the position.
