Job Summary
Provide in-person French interpretation for local clients in the Burlington, VT area (Massachusetts area clients noted). Role requires fully bilingual interpreters with medical terminology familiarity and HIPAA/confidentiality compliance. Independent contractor, PRN schedule with availability typically M-F 7AM-5PM, must have transportation and access to a printer, and be able to use an online portal with vouchers. Prior interpreting experience and certification are REQUIRED; simultaneous interpreting experience preferred. Must pass background checks; role involves in-person appointments with potential video calls as needed and flexible hours based on client needs and languages spoken.
Required Qualifications
- Fully bilingual
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance
- Interpreting experience and certification REQUIRED
- Proper setup to do video calls as needed
- Must have access to a printer
- Background checks required
- Schedule is PRN (as needed) with M-F 7AM-5PM availability as services are typically needed
