Job Summary
French Interpreter for a 100% remote team with opportunities to advance from OPI to VRI. Responsible for accurate consecutive interpretation primarily in medical settings, plus social services and financial contexts. Requires professional remote interpretation experience (6 months–1 year), C1 English proficiency, interpreation certification and skills evaluation, HIPAA and FWA certifications, and a HIPAA-compliant remote workspace with wired Ethernet and compliant hardware. Role offers per-minute compensation, flexible scheduling with minimum weekly hours, and potential career progression to core staff.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year minimum of professional experience in remote medical interpretation
- English proficiency with minimum C1 fluency (EF SET 4-Skill, TOEFL, or CAE accepted)
- Interpretation certification and pass terminology/skills evaluation during hiring
- Complete mastery of medical and customer service terminology
- HIPAA certification or willingness to obtain HIPAA certification
- FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certification or willingness to obtain
- Willingness to complete standard background check
- Must have hardwired Ethernet connection
- High-quality noise-canceling USB headset
- Windows 10 and 4GB RAM minimum
- Latest version of Chrome, Safari, or Edge
- Dedicated, quiet HIPAA-compliant workspace
