Job Summary
Translate and review French-to-English pharmacovigilance and clinical-regulatory content, including adverse event reports and safety documentation, for a leading global pharmaceutical company. Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) on safety content and conduct copy edits to ensure accuracy, tone, and consistency. Meet strict, non-extendable turnaround times on time-sensitive material while working within the client's CAT tool environment (XTM). Occasionally support transcription tasks by retyping scanned or handwritten PDFs into Word, requiring a personal Gmail account for platform access. This ongoing freelance engagement demands great daily availability and consistent capacity, with no part-time schedules accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in translation, linguistics or languages studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience translating Life Sciences documents
- Great daily availability
- Strong English proficiency
- Experience with XTM or similar CAT tools
- Reliable, deadline-driven, and flexible, able to commit to fast turnaround times with no extensions
- A personal Gmail account
Desired Qualifications
- Experience translating pharmacovigilance content: SAE/AE (serious and non-serious adverse events), PSURs, SUSARs, ICSRs, DSURs, Risk Management Plans (RMP)
- Experience translating regulatory or clinical documents: medical reports, protocols, synopses, ICF, discharge reports, study reports, SmPC, PIL, or medical literature
- Healthcare professional (HCP) background: nurse or physician preferred, especially with emergency room experience. Other HCP backgrounds also welcome
- Availability to cover US business hours
- Willingness to commit to daily and/or weekend availability
- Native level of English
