Job Summary
Conduct live and asynchronous French instruction for students in a virtual home office environment. Deliver personalized learning experiences, monitor progress via the learning management system, and maintain grade books to ensure academic integrity. Support students and parents by addressing curricular issues, troubleshooting virtual classroom problems, and preparing learners for standardized tests. Collaborate with learning coaches and administrators to drive instructional decisions based on student data. Travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development and student testing. Work independently during instructional hours between 9-5 EST, supporting diverse schools through flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate state Department of Education French Foreign Language Teaching Certification
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with proposed age group
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
