French Bilingual Financial Commercial Collections Officer

Job Summary
Conduct collections calls for all past due accounts, contact customers by phone to request payment, and negotiate appropriate payment arrangements within authorized limits. Document call activity details in the Collections system, update customer account information, and use defined procedures to coordinate firm payment arrangements while assessing and mitigating risk by referring accounts for further action when necessary. Apply soft calling techniques to handle objections and objections, perform to regulatory standards, and maintain reports for review by collection management to achieve individual targets. Work full-time Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm in the Greater Toronto Area.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in French and English
- 5 or more years of experience in the industry
- Experience handling commercial collections
- Experience with payment negotiations
- Experience with delinquent accounts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and phone communication skills
- Good math skills
- Confidence performing basic calculations
- Strong organization skills

- Documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Outlook
