Job Summary
Freight Specialist (Internally known as Eats Freight for Breakfast) audits outgoing DC parts for quantity errors, mis-picked items, and damaged parts to ensure accurate customer orders and timely shipping. Responsibilities include packing/wrapping shipments, identifying damaged packages, coordinating with Customer Service and Order Expeditors, processing large orders, providing shipping rate quotes, scheduling carrier pickups, preparing shipping documents, operating forklift to move skids and load trucks, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Uses High Jump, Syspro, UPS WorldShip, and Salesforce; communicates with teams to update orders; requires ability to lift 50 lbs, intermittent long-period movement, and vehicle certification or willingness to be trained. Regular hours Monday–Friday 10:00–6:30 with possible Saturdays; English proficiency required. Salary range is $43,993.80–$53,720.20 annually, plus benefits and potential bonuses; Parts Town offers benefits, profit-sharing, and a comprehensive E-Verify employer program.
Required Qualifications
- Able to move around for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Vehicle certification or willingness to be trained in forklift operation
- Proficient in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work Monday through Friday 10:00 AM-6:30 PM and Saturdays as needed
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook
