Job Summary
Freight Services Manager to serve as the founding commercial hire for Kennicott Brothers' new freight division. Build and manage a book of retail florist accounts in the Atlanta metro, prospect and convert new accounts, oversee freight operations from Miami through the Armellini cross-dock in Tucker, GA, and ensure a superior service experience. Responsibilities include account management and business development, cross-dock receiving and shipment tracking, proactive customer communication, and reporting within the division's standalone P&L; collaborate with Finance for NetSuite setup and freight billing; contribute to process/tool development as the division scales; and support automated customer notifications as infrastructure develops.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in account management, logistics coordination, or a customer-facing service role
- Strong communicator across verbal, written, and text/messaging platforms
- Service-oriented mindset with ability to resolve customer issues quickly
- Self-starter capable of building new processes without an established playbook
- Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple accounts and active shipments
- Proficient with standard business technology (email, mobile, shipment tracking platforms)
- Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort operating in a start-up environment within a well-established company
