Job Summary
Lead a logistics team as Freight Manager overseeing transportation procurement for LTL/FTL/air/parcel, carrier/3PL relationships, and KPI reporting. Drive cost savings, freight audits, and compliance with NMFC changes, collaborating across Warehouse Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, and Engineering. Implement and evaluate software such as TMS; ensure on-time delivery to customers and PWC distribution centers; manage a 4-5 person direct team; willing to travel up to 15% and operate in Little Rock, AR or Houston, TX on-site.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of transportation experience (LTL, FTL, Ocean, Air)
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools like Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- SQL or BI platforms (Power BI)
- Experience with international shipping documents, incoterms, and customs brokerage process
- Strong team leadership and management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to achieve favorable outcomes
- Ability to travel up to 15% per year
- Drug screen and criminal background check
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Proven procurement and contract negotiation skills
