Job Summary
Manage all inbound, outbound, and intercompany freight across Harbor Fab's manufacturing network by coordinating carriers, scheduling pickups, and resolving claims. Negotiate transportation rates, audit invoices, and optimize routing to reduce total landed cost while maintaining on-time delivery. Partner daily with Production Planning, Shipping, and Purchasing to consolidate shipments, maximize trailer utilization, and minimize expedited freight. Develop dashboards, standardize processes, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making to support operational efficiency and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of transportation, logistics, or supply chain leadership experience in manufacturing
- Experience managing freight across multiple facilities
- Experience negotiating transportation contracts
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Experience with ERP/TMS platforms
Desired Qualifications
- Structural steel or miscellaneous metals experience
- Heavy-haul or oversized freight experience
- APICS, CLTD, CSCMP, or similar certification
