Job Summary

Execute high-precision freight handling by loading, unloading, stacking, and securing shipments while applying tags and documentation to ensure visibility. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists to move freight, install blocking and bracing, and maintain equipment cleanliness. Transport freight between dock areas, trailers, and storage zones to keep operations flowing, while keeping work areas clean and hazard-free. Communicate with leadership and supervisors to surface delays or safety concerns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet throughput goals. Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to minimize rehandling and prevent damage, ensuring all activities align with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Forklift driver qualification
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure in a fast paced setting
  • Must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

  • Must be able to keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
