Job Summary
Execute high-precision freight handling by loading, unloading, stacking, and securing shipments with accuracy to prevent damage. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists to move freight while installing blocking and bracing for stability. Maintain dock flow by transporting cargo between zones and keeping work areas clean and hazard-free. Communicate with leadership to surface delays and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet throughput goals. Uphold safety and accuracy standards by managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Requires forklift qualification and hazardous materials training. Located onsite in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Forklift driver qualification
- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure in a fast paced setting
- Must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
