Job Summary
Compare and verify merchandise invoices against received items, check freight packing slips, and process store transfers through the register. Make FedEx labels, sort packages by transit time, and send alterations, layaways, or special orders to guests. Remove pins and tags from merchandise, hang and fold items for the sales floor, and maintain organized fixtures and shelving. Keep shipment-related paperwork filed, file discrepancies in store mail, and send recalls and Return to Vendors weekly. Watch for security risks, recognize thefts, and communicate policy violations to management. Maintain a neat, clean work area and apply company policies while supporting a positive team spirit.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
