Freight Coordinator (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Compare and verify merchandise invoices against received items, process alterations and special orders via FedEx, and check accuracy of packing slips. Fold and box merchandise for shipment, remove pins and plastic, apply Sensormatic tags, and hang or fold items for the sales floor. Receive freight boxes and store transfers, make FedEx labels, sort packages by transit time, and file discrepancies or non-errors. Maintain shipment paperwork, organize supplies and fixtures, and ensure a clean work area. Recognize and report security risks or policy violations to management. Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and major holidays. No prior experience required; must be 18 years or older.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs
- Ability to develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) software
- Ability to watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations
- Ability to communicate any policy violations to Store Manager, District Manager, and/or Human Resources in a timely, confidential manner
- Ability to understand and apply the Buckle's Code of Ethics and all Buckle's policies, procedures, and handbooks
- Ability to fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit
