Freight Claims Specialist

Process and file freight claims while investigating loss, damage, and overage exceptions to determine liability and mitigate loss. Negotiate settlements directly with claimants, gather evidentiary documents such as manuals and test reports, and provide weekly client reporting on outstanding claims. Update the claims website with carrier information and assist in improving training materials to increase efficiency. Work diligently to ensure claims are paid in a timely manner while collaborating with the team to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment.
