Job Summary
Manage incoming and outgoing shipping logistics by performing daily check calls on loads in transit and originating necessary documentation for freight bills. Contact new customers to drive acquisitions, develop profitable volume with existing shippers, and build relationships with carriers to increase capacity. Negotiate market freight rates to determine fair pricing for trucks and shippers, while handling customer inquiries and resolving issues. Uphold company standards by following principles of Customer, Company, and Office. Requires minimum three years of freight brokerage experience and strong negotiation skills. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 year's experience in Freight Brokerage/customer service
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
- Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle conflict
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
