Freezer Supervisor (Nights)

Job Summary
Lead a team of hourly employees in the frozen warehouse to manage shipping activities, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain product security. Direct staff performance, handle hiring and disciplinary actions, and utilize WMS software to track materials through receiving, storage, and picking. Enforce safety protocols compliant with OSHA and Simmons policies while fostering a cooperative environment. Requires a Bachelor's degree or four years of related experience, including a leading role, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. This salary-exempt position involves domestic travel to multiple facilities and requires wearing specific PPE in cold environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years related work experience with a minimum of 1-year experience in a leading role included in the 4 years related work experience
- Must be able to read and write English
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource management, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Must be familiar with computers and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Must be able to work in freezer and various temperatures
- Will use Freezer suit, composite/steel toe boots, and other protective equipment as needed or required
- Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites, possibly requiring overnight stays
- Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction required
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience within frozen distribution and/or food processing organization
- Certified Supply-Chain Management Professional
- Military experience
