Job Summary
Dairy & Freezer Clerk (Part Time) at BJ’s Wholesale Club is responsible for maintaining the dairy and freezer sections through stocking, rotation, and ensuring product integrity. The role supports merchandising, inventory management, and adherence to food safety standards while delivering service to Members. Responsibilities include stocking according to planograms, maintaining cold chain and in-stock levels, applying FIFO rotation, conducting quality and date checks, ensuring food safety and sanitation, maintaining accurate signage and pricing, supporting seasonal merchandising, and adhering to club standards and policies. The position emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and willingness to perform additional duties as assigned; requires basic computer skills and the ability to stand, lift up to 30 pounds, and work in refrigerated environments.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email) preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Frequent standing and movement on hard surfaces.
- Regular lifting of up to 30 pounds; occasional heavier lifting with assistance.
- Exposure to temperature variations in refrigerated and freezer storage areas.
