Job Summary
Operate forklifts and manage shipping and receiving duties within a -10°F freezer environment. Lift and move up to 50 pounds of inventory while adhering to tight deadlines and changing demands. Work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays with moderate physical activity involving lifting, bending, and heavy machinery use. Maintain communication and interpersonal skills to support logistics goals and team leadership. Experience in food manufacturing or freezer environments is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must know how to operate a forklift
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to go in and out of a -10F Freezer
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and meet new and changing demands
- Ability to identify the vision and produce goals with realistic plans to achieve them
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to provide leadership
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma Required
- Available to work during weekends and holiday
- Be able to work weekends and have a flexible schedule
- This position requires moderate physical activity
- Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting and use of heavy machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc
- This position requires nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead
- Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures of coolers and blast freezers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment and/or freezer preferred
- Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, or other related field is preferred
