Freelance Studio and Equipment Coordinator

Job Summary
Conduct daily studio prep, reset, and maintenance for photography and video production, including active set days and dark day projects. Manage on-site equipment rooms by checking in and out rentals, tracking repair schedules, and ensuring cleanliness. Setup studios for all production types, pack and deliver jobs, and assist photographers on location shoots within NYC. Maintain functionality of lighting, grip, camera, and digital equipment while executing lighting diagrams and cyc painting. Work onsite at client locations in Midtown Manhattan and Red Hook, Brooklyn, with a schedule of 1/2 to 1 day shoots. Rate is $300-$350/day commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 Years in a studio, equipment environment; with on set experience
- Present professionally to our client and our crews
- Working knowledge of lighting and camera platforms (Broncolor, Profoto, Arri, Phase One, Canon and Sony)
- Simple set build skills (quick set changes – walls, backdrops, etc.)
- Ability to set up to a lighting diagram and paint cyc
- Ability to remain productive on dark days
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- An interest in art is a bonus
- Interest in Photography trends and emerging equipment, camera systems
- Proficient with Capture One, Google Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud
