Job Summary
Cut and edit video, soundbites, and visual elements for live broadcasts, collaborating with producers and writers to identify the strongest content. Edit and turn around breaking news video quickly while performing thorough quality control on every element before it airs. Work closely with editors to ensure all assets are organized and delivered on deadline in a fast-paced control room environment. This role requires flexibility to work weekends and other hours as news coverage dictates, with a pay rate of $17.79-22.00 per hour. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in television news or live production
- Experience with non-linear editing software
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and other hours as news coverage requires
