Job Summary
Freelance Python Data Scraping Engineer on a Tendem project. Own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, using internal tools (Apify, OpenRouter) and custom workflows to accelerate data collection, validation, and task execution. Ensure reliable extraction from dynamic, JavaScript-rendered sources; enforce data quality through validation checks and formatting adherence; scale scraping operations with efficient batching and monitoring against site changes. Remote, part-time role with compensation up to $20/hour; require 3+ years experience, Python scraping expertise (BeautifulSoup, Selenium), data cleaning/validation, and familiarity with AI frameworks. Collaboration with Tendem Agents in a hybrid AI + human system to deliver structured datasets (CSV/JSON) for the Mindrift platform.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 year of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (required)
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is a plus
- Strong experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar)
- Dynamic content handling (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll) and APIs via proxies
- Proven ability to extract data from complex structures
- Data cleaning, normalization, and validation to deliver structured datasets
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI frameworks
- English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is a plus

- Self-directed work ethic with ability to troubleshoot independently
- GitHub link is a plus
- English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above
