Job Summary
Freelance Python Data Scraping Engineer role on the Tendem project. You’ll own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, leveraging Apify/OpenRouter and custom workflows to deliver structured datasets with high quality. Work in a hybrid AI + human system, collaborating with Tendem Agents, performing data validation, handling JS-rendered content, and ensuring scalable scraping operations for large datasets. Part-time remote freelance opportunity with compensation up to $37/hour equivalent, with opportunities across multiple U.S. locations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields
- Strong experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar)
- Experience with dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll) and API access via proxies
- Proven ability to extract data from complex structures (hierarchies, archived pages, inconsistent HTML)
- Data cleaning, normalization, and validation to deliver structured datasets (CSV, JSON, Google Sheets)
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI frameworks to enhance automation
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Self-directed work ethic with ability to troubleshoot independently

- English proficiency: B2 or above
