Job Summary
Freelance Python Data Scraping Engineer for Tendem project on Mindrift’s hybrid AI + human system. You’ll own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, using internal tools (Apify, OpenRouter) and your own approaches to deliver structured datasets. You’ll ensure reliable extraction from dynamic sources, implement data quality checks, and scale scraping operations for large datasets while monitoring failures. This is a part-time remote opportunity for technically skilled professionals with hands-on web scraping, data extraction, and processing experience. Compensation is project-based, with earnings up to $40 per hour equivalent depending on level and pace. The role emphasizes collaboration with Tendem Agents, domain expertise, and quality control to deliver accurate results in a fully remote, flexible schedule environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 year of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (required).
- Strong experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar), including dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll) and APIs via proxies.
- Proven ability to extract data from complex structures (hierarchies, archived pages, inconsistent HTML).
- Solid background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering structured datasets (CSV, JSON, Google Sheets).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI frameworks to enhance automation and problem-solving.
- Self-directed work ethic with ability to troubleshoot independently.
