Job Summary
Freelance Content Writer for Front Row SEO & Content team. Write clear, engaging, and SEO-optimized content (blog posts, landing pages, on-site copy) per detailed briefs with defined keywords and structure. Conduct light research to ensure accuracy, apply SEO best practices (keyword usage, internal linking, readability formatting), adapt tone to match multiple brand voices, and manage deadlines. Remote freelance role with hybrid option (remote + in-office in Downtown San Diego), project-based work paid per word, collaboration with internal SEO/content team, and benefits include medical/vision/dental, PTO, 401k, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience writing SEO-focused content (portfolio/work samples required)
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword usage and search intent
- Ability to write across a range of topics and industries; content written by human writers for human readers
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow briefs closely
- Dependable and responsive in a remote work setting with the ability to manage multiple assignments as needed
- Freelance, project-based work with flexible volume based on business needs; remote
- Collaboration is primarily with internal SEO and Content team (no direct client communication required)
- Pay rate: 15 cents per word
