Job Summary
Operate jib cameras, stage manage, and serve as A2, camera, audio, or robotic camera operator while managing server playback for live and taped television broadcasts. Assist and co-pilot within an APC production environment, maintaining studio operations SOPs for training and troubleshooting. Perform various control room and studio duties as assigned. This part-time role supports NBC Sports Bay Area and California, requiring onsite work in San Francisco with willingness to travel, work outside standard hours, and weekends. Candidates must have 1-2 years of video production experience, specifically with Ross Overdrive APC, Mira media playback, or Jib Operations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working in video production or live TV
- Experience with Ross Overdrive APC
- Experience with Mira media playback
- Experience with CalRec Assist
- Experience with Jib Operations
- Functional knowledge of newsroom computer systems, specifically iNews or Rundown Software equivalent
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and deadlines
- Self-motivation to take on new tasks
- Aptitude and desire to be cross trained in other studio operations positions
- Willingness to work in San Francisco, California
- Willingness to travel and work outside standard hours, and on weekends with short notice
- Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
- Required onsite
