Job Summary

Freelance Associate Creative Director, Experience Design leads the strategic and creative development of user-centered digital experiences across websites, platforms, applications, digital tools, and omnichannel ecosystems for pharma/healthcare contexts. Guides multidisciplinary teams through discovery, strategy, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and experience optimization; acts as design leader and hands-on practitioner. Emphasizes accessibility, usability, and inclusive design; translates complex scientific and business challenges into intuitive experiences; collaborates with client teams to align user needs with business goals; mentors UX designers and experience strategists; and manages experience workstreams, timelines, and quality across multiple projects. Requires 8–10 years in UX/experience design, a strong portfolio, proficiency with Figma, and experience in healthcare or regulated industries a plus. Hourly range $120–$130, reflecting flexible compensation and remote work options.

Required Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in UX, product design, experience design, service design, or digital strategy within an agency, consultancy, or in-house environment
  • Proven experience leading complex digital experience initiatives from discovery through delivery
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience strategy, UX design, information architecture, journey mapping, and digital product thinking
  • Expertise in designing websites, platforms, applications, and omnichannel customer experiences
  • Experience facilitating research, workshops, stakeholder alignment, and collaborative design activities
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards, usability principles, and user-centered design methodologies
  • Ability to translate complex business, scientific, or technical information into intuitive user experiences
  • Experience working alongside developers and understanding technical implementation considerations
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern experience design tools
  • Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, biotech, or regulated industries is a plus
