Job Summary
Freedom of Information Assistant role within NWPD Information and Privacy Unit. Responsibilities include reviewing requests for access to information under FOIPPA, preparing draft responses, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and analyzing information for release with regard to third-party interests. Emphasis on meticulous disclosure management, confidentiality, and clear communication; requires strong decision-making, teamwork, and ability to collaborate with police personnel. Qualifications include Grade 12, proficiency with record management systems, familiarity with FOIPPA provisions, PIAs, PRIME, and CPIC, plus the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
