Job Summary
Manage daily buying operations for the swim category by researching market trends, executing product development, and placing buys with conviction to meet sales and profit objectives. Own the assortment planning for a specific product class, balancing immediate and long-term business needs while delegating tasks to assistants. Coordinate with cross-functional partners to track purchase orders, manage merchandise flow, and communicate delivery timelines. Proactively vocalize opinions in merchant meetings and assist the buying team with catalog proofing and vendor onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in retail buying or a similar capacity
- Ability to build and maintain productive partnerships
- Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong organization and prioritizing skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
