Job Summary
Fraud Operations Analyst responsible for detecting and resolving suspicious activity across multiple transaction types. Monitor alerts, restrict accounts, and initiate member contact when fraud is suspected. Analyze and review accounts, educate members on fraud prevention, respond to inquiries via calls, and document outcomes. Collaborate with Fraud Data Analysts and internal teams to improve detection strategies and compliance with regulatory requirements. Emphasis on accuracy, member empathy, and readiness to advance in fraud operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent plus a minimum 2 years of fraud experience, OR 3 years of experience in banking, financial services, or a related industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related technical field along with relevant projects, internships, or certifications (candidates without direct fraud/financial services experience may qualify)
- Licenses/Certifications in relevant technical areas desirable
- Proficiency with Windows OS, office software, fraud case management systems, and digital identity verification tools
- Strong communication skills, ability to educate members on fraud prevention, and empathetic member support
- Knowledge of industry regulations (BSA, OFAC, GLBA, Regulation CC/DD/Z/E) and compliance requirements
- Experience with fraud detection platforms, analytics, risk assessment, and incident resolution
