Job Summary
Fraud Investigation Specialist will conduct fraud investigations to protect GoCardless from fraud and financial/reputational risk. Daily activities include monitoring the risk alert queue to identify high-risk behavior, conducting investigations within service level agreements to reduce revenue losses, gaining a thorough understanding of GoCardless product, policies and processes, and leading on customer-facing correspondence while coordinating with multiple teams to ensure a seamless merchant experience. The role supports working in a global fraud team, with opportunities to learn about data usage for informed decision-making and flexible/adaptive working arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Some experience in a fraud investigations role or similar
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to separate legitimate behavior from illicit activity
- Understanding of implications of new information for problem-solving and decision-making
- Strong written English skills for stakeholder communications
- Driven by initiative and able to prioritize and take ownership to get the job done
- Results-focused and capable of organizing work and showing initiative
