Job Summary
Modify reports and prepare visual presentations to present analysis to management. Interpret data trends and provide insights to determine operational impact, opportunities, and automation potential. Create and maintain databases to classify and store information while completing ad-hoc reports to support business needs. Ensure compliance through quality data audits and partner with the Data Governance team to implement data quality requirements. Offer guidance to junior analysts and monitor analytics trends for continuous improvement. This role transforms data into meaningful formats for decision-making at Regions, a financial services leader focused on safeguarding private information and building careers for dedicated individuals.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and two (2) years of experience in a data analytics or related role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and four (4) years of experience in a data analytics or related role
- Experience utilizing analytical software such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), SAS Enterprise Miner, and applicable Microsoft Office applications
- Working knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Advanced Python skills
- Advanced SQL and data querying skills
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in data analytics within the banking or financial services industry
- Fraud-prevention experience, such as evaluating transactional anomalies, customer-behavior insights and fraud trends
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, including report development and dashboard design
- This position is currently remote but may be asked to come onsite or sit onsite in the future
- The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations
- Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense
- The locations available for this role are: Birmingham AL, Atlanta GA, and Charlotte NC
