Job Summary
Dispense and fit glasses and contacts by operating auto-lensometers and manual lensometers to collect precise measurements for bridge, eye size, and pupillary distance. Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements while educating them on lenses and coatings. Accurately collect orders in E360, repair and adjust frames, and maintain frame standards through cleaning and inventory accuracy. Follow all job aids, policies, and HIPAA protocols while supporting the Total Patient Experience to build relationships and maximize retail sales.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- HIPAA compliance
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to climb
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
- Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications
