Job Summary
Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating measurements with optical prescriptions. Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer to determine accurate eye size, bridge, and pupillary distance. Educate clients on specific lenses, coatings, and frame adjustments while dispensing and repairing orders. Build relationships to maximize retail sales while supporting medical needs through the Total Patient Experience. Requires previous ophthalmic experience, ABO/NCLE certifications preferred, and full use of hands for fine motor tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
- ABO and NCLE certifications
