Job Summary
Review incoming customer orders in Shopify, verify frame and prescription details, and place orders through vendor portals. Enter customer information into vendor systems, ensuring compliance with specific purchasing requirements. Coordinate frame and lens procurement to ensure orders progress efficiently through production while monitoring vendor inventory and identifying potential fulfillment issues. Follow up on back orders and delayed shipments to maintain timely delivery, and research alternative solutions when products are unavailable. Cross-train in RX customer service processes to provide operational flexibility during high demand.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the optical, eyewear, ophthalmology, optometry, or healthcare industry
- Experience with frame ordering, optical order processing, procurement, or vendor coordination
- Experience using Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
- Experience with optical laboratory ordering systems or vendor portals
- Previous experience ordering ophthalmic lenses or managing RX lens workflows
- Experience working with inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple orders, vendors, and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable communicating with vendors via phone, email, and vendor portals
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate exceptions independently
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
