Job Summary
Lead fragrance development projects from inception to completion by translating consumer market insights into olfactory submissions and guiding creative processes using industry resources like Mintel and WGSN. Direct all aspects of the development process, including selecting scents per brief guidelines, coordinating with applications teams for stability testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance and pricing structure alignment. Conduct market research to identify trends, participate in panel testing, and provide constructive feedback to the perfumery team while maintaining on-time delivery and win rates. Communicate with sales and marketing to support account presentations and realize growth potential, requiring travel up to 30% for account meetings. Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience required. Full-time role in Libertyville, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, Marketing, Communications or other similar discipline
- 2-4 years relevant experience in Fragrance Development, Retail Fragrance, Beauty/Personal Care, or Home Fragrance
- Must be PC literate and literate in Excel, Word and Power Point, and Outlook
- Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Must have ability to work well under pressure
- Must have superior olfactory abilities
- Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment
- Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly
- Must be able to travel up to 30%
