Job Summary
Act as the interim or ongoing Slate Captain for partner institutions, owning day-to-day operations within their Slate instances and providing expert guidance across all functional areas. Plan and execute Slate activities scoped to each partner's priorities, including Cycle Prep, updating Applications, Queries, Reports, and managing Workflows and Rules. Deliver hands-on support and training to partner staff while maintaining accountability and adapting to changing deadlines. Manage engagements either as a sole acting Captain for a single institution or fractionally across multiple partners, contributing to broader Slate practice consulting when not fully committed to dedicated engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Well-rounded Slate knowledge and abilities, including several areas of mastery
- Strong knowledge of processes and strategy in one or more of the Slate lifecycles – enrollment, student success and advancement
- Highly organized with an aptitude for working in a constantly changing environment and adapting changing priorities
- Accountable with strong attention to detail
- Experience with and/or belief in the importance of customer service as a foundational aspect of business success
- Posses a client-centric attitude to listen with empathy and the ability to explain both technical and non-technical concepts and issues
- Minimum of two years as a Slate Captain or in an equivalent role
- Bachelor's Degree, plus 3+ years of professional work experience, or 5-7 years of professional work experience in higher education/CRM systems
