Job Summary
Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, including history-taking, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals. Manage chronic diseases per national guidelines, administer vaccinations, and order diagnostic tests. Collaborate with specialists, allied health professionals, and nursing staff while maintaining accurate, confidential records. Ensure high standards of patient safety, infection control, and quality care. After hours on call with rotating roster. Full-time position with a five-day workweek and no after-hours calls.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
- Strong clinical skills
- Commitment to patient-centred care
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational Recognition (Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM preferred) or eligibility
- Expedited Pathway GPs from UK and Ireland and New Zealand
- Overseas GPs that have been assessed by RACGP as partially or substantially comparable
- Qualifications that will be accepted on the Expedited pathway are MRCGP+CCT UK from 2007 onwards, MICGP+CSCST (Ireland from 2009 onwards) and FRNZCGP New Zealand (from 2012 onwards)
