FQHC Operations Director

Job Summary

Lead interim COO engagements as the acting COO for client organizations, providing hands-on operational leadership and driving execution on organizational priorities. Advise healthcare organizations on operational strategy, workforce optimization, and process improvement while developing policies to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction. Monitor key performance indicators, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance quality of care and clinical outcomes. Manage a multidisciplinary team, lead complex project-based initiatives, and contribute to business development and service line innovation. This role requires flexibility to work across EST, CST, and PST time zones, with an average schedule of 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management
  • Experience within an FQHC or similar healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic operational initiatives, and performance improvement projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of driving results, managing change, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems, healthcare informatics, and data analytics
