FPGA Hardware Board Design Engineer

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end hardware platform design, translating system architecture into circuit specifications and driving schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout from feasibility through tape-out. Manage high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs while optimizing BOM cost, part availability, and risk mitigation strategies. Review design simulations for signal, power, and thermal integrity, then lead board bring-up, power-on, and platform debug activities with cross-functional teams. Resolve complex system-level issues across electrical, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing domains to ensure robust, scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in hardware board design life-cycle
- Strong expertise in processor, FPGA, and SoC-based system design
- Proficiency in circuit design, analysis, and simulation
- Hands-on experience with key EDA tools such as Concept HDL, OrCAD, Allegro or equivalent
- Expertise in high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal design principles
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to silicon hardware or software validation and characterization platforms
- Experience in embedded, telecom, or RF-based hardware platforms
- Exposure to thermal and mechanical design review and integration
- Experience in silicon validation, electrical characterization, test card design, or platform enablement for early silicon bring-up
