Job Summary
FPGA/Embedded Systems Engineer to design, develop, and test FPGA-based HDL and firmware; support all phases of system and subsystem development with upfront analysis, prototyping, development, and validation; hands-on lab testing of hardware; acquisition and analysis of laboratory data; and lead a small team of embedded developers to coordinate development milestones. Requires Verilog/VHDL proficiency, C/C++ in embedded environments, RF/SDR experience, and active DoD security clearance. Location: Huntsville, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics
- 3+ years of firmware development
- Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL for FPGA-based designs
- Proficiency in C/C++ in embedded environments
- Familiar with test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes) and software debugging tools
- Experience with I2C, SPI, RS-232, or other standard communication interfaces
- Experience working on embedded devices for RF projects preferred
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
