Job Summary
Develop FPGA designs for major vendors including Xilinx, Intel, and Microchip using VHDL for applications such as gigabit serial interfaces, RF, and digital signal processing. Collaborate with circuit card and systems engineers to define requirements, architect devices, perform code development, simulation, and place and route. Verify designs against requirements using directed test and constrained random methodologies, then support the process from requirements definition through integration, test, and production. Document and manage configurations throughout the design lifecycle. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and demonstrated experience with digital design and VHDL. Salary range $57,200 - $108,800. Onsite position in Tucson, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) major
- Demonstrated experience with digital design and VHDL or Verilog coding
- Familiarity with Xilinx, Altera or Microsemi/Microchip FPGAs
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team
- Expertise of Xilinx, Intel, Microchip or Lattice devices and tool flows
- Expertise in FPGA timing constraints and timing closure
- Digital signal processing as applied to FPGA devices
- Knowledge of C programming and scripting languages such as Perl and Python
- Knowledge of embedded systems design utilizing Microblaze, Nios, and ARM processors
Desired Qualifications
- ABET accreditation
- 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Familiarity with the Linux environment and commands
