Job Summary
FPGA Design Engineer role in Huntsville, AL focusing on designing, implementing, integrating, and testing digital FPGA-based systems. Responsibilities include developing Verilog and VHDL/HDL designs, modifying and designing RFSoC boards for real-time hardware-in-the-loop missile integration, providing troubleshooting and test support, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 3-5 years of related experience, and U.S. Citizenship with active Secret clearance. Telework may be possible; environment includes office and laboratory settings with standard E&E test equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience is required.
- Xilinx RFSoC experience is preferred, and/or experience with high-speed ADCs/DACs and FPGAs.
- Strong FPGA design experience in VHDL or Verilog.
- Strong DSP background using FPGAs. Digital filter design and DDS experience required.
- Experience using PCIe, DDR Ram, multi-gigabit serial, and ethernet protocols with FPGAs and microprocessors.
- Knowledge of basic serial communication protocols, UART, I2C, SPI, 8B10B.
- Mixed signal PCB design experience.
- Proficient with the use of basic test equipment, oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers.
- U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance required.
