Job Summary
FPGA Design Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on FPGA experience sought to develop and optimize FPGA solutions. Responsibilities include developing FPGA logic in VHDL/Verilog, implementing high-speed data paths and interfaces (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet), performing simulation, verification, timing closure, and debugging; integrating FPGAs with soft processors (MicroBlaze/Nios), sensors, ADCs/DACs; supporting bring-up, lab validation, and system-level debugging; collaborating with hardware, firmware, software, and system teams; file and design documentation; and supporting PLM release processes. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, strong digital logic design and debugging skills, VHDL/Verilog proficiency, Xilinx Vivado experience, and familiarity with high-speed interfaces and schematics. Preference for experience with UVM, imaging or medical devices, and regulated industries. Office-based, full-time role with on-site presence in Haifa, Israel; 3 days in the office as part of Philips' onsite requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years FPGA design experience
- Strong experience in digital logic design and debugging
- VHDL / Verilog experience
- Xilinx Vivado experience
- High-speed interfaces knowledge (Ethernet, DDR) and AXI
- Ability to read system schematics
- Lab debugging and validation ability
- Documentation and release-process familiarity
