Job Summary
FPGA Design Engineer responsible for developing and optimizing FPGA solutions. Responsibilities include designing FPGA logic with VHDL/Verilog, implementing high-speed data paths (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet), performing simulation, verification, and timing closure, and integrating FPGAs with soft processors (MicroBlaze/Nios), sensors, ADCs/DACs. Includes supporting bring-up, lab validation, board/system-level debugging, reading schematics for integration, documenting designs, participating in architecture reviews, and supportingRelease/PLM processes. Requires Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of FPGA design experience, with strong digital logic, VHDL/Verilog, Xilinx Vivado, high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, DDR), AXI, and lab/debug capabilities. Office-based role with onsite presence in Haifa, Israel (at least 3 days per week).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of hands-on FPGA design experience
- Strong experience in digital logic design and debugging
- Strong knowledge of VHDL/Verilog
- Experience with Xilinx tools, especially Vivado
- Knowledge and experience with high-speed serial interfaces (Ethernet, DDR) and protocols like AXI
- Ability to read and understand system schematics
- Experience with lab debugging and validation
- Ability to document design work clearly and support structured release processes
- Familiarity with Windchill and engineering release workflows
