Job Summary
Own the analysis function by setting the analytical agenda, identifying new data points, and translating findings into narratives for executive leadership. Establish the reporting architecture and lead the design of automated, real-time reporting in partnership with the FP&A Analyst. Drive the annual budgeting process, analyze performance against 2025 and 2026 targets, and shape the 2027 forecast cycle. Lead the design and evolution of the project forecasting model in Deltek, setting standards for validation and updates. Design and implement the department's financial controls framework to ensure data accuracy across systems and workflows. Directly manage and mentor the FP&A Analyst, building team capability while integrating newly acquired entities into Deltek. Serve as a thought partner to Finance leadership on process improvement and systems strategy. This role reports to the CFO and directly manages the FP&A Analyst. The position is based in Denver, CO or Fairfield, CT, with a standard 40-hour work week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 5 to 8+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience
- demonstrated ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes
- Direct, practical experience with Deltek
- comfort building and maintaining forecasting models within an ERP/project accounting system
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing analysts or junior finance staff
- Advanced Excel skills
- experience using BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and automating recurring reports
- Strong track record of designing financial controls and driving data accuracy across teams and systems
- Excellent communication skills
- demonstrated ability to translate financial data into insights for audiences outside of finance
- Process-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement as the function scales

- MBA or other relevant advanced degree
- Prior experience leading, mentoring, or managing analysts or junior finance staff
- Experience supporting M&A integration or consolidation across multiple entities
