Job Summary
FP&A Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract within UK Retail FP&A & Business Partnering. The role focuses on delivering high-quality monthly performance analysis for UK Retail P&L, developing forward-looking financial insight, and translating data into concise narratives to support senior leadership decision-making. Key duties include ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and reforecasts, producing materials for leadership forums (QBRs and executive briefings), driving cost and efficiency initiatives, standardising reporting, and collaborating with Group Finance and UK Financial Reporting to ensure control and consistency. The role emphasizes synthesising information into actionable narratives, partnering with senior stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement in FP&A processes. Hybrid working is offered across UK locations (York, Manchester, Colchester, London).
Required Qualifications
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong FP&A experience including financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis
- Experience within general insurance
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and deliver insight for decision-making
- Excellent analytical capability with ability to translate complex data into concise narratives
- Experience producing executive-level reporting and PowerPoint packs
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience working with business partnering teams and coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders
