Job Summary
Provide appropriate instruction to elementary students and ensure learning objectives and WV standards are met for the fourth grade. Plan, implement, and assess Jefferson County Schools’ curriculum based on WV Content Standards and Objectives; implement adopted and supplemental academic programs; integrate 21st-century technology skills; plan and implement inclusion with special education students; may lead co-curricular activities and field trips; administer formative and summative assessments; design tiered instruction for reading and math; address IEPs and 504 Plans and recommend revisions; adhere to grading policies; collaborate with interventionists, students, parents, and peers to support targeted interventions; maintain a safe, productive classroom and professional work habits; perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
Required Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specializations and grade levels in WV
- Demonstrated knowledge of elementary content and curriculum
- Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with students, peers, administrators, and parents
