Job Summary
Maintain and operate ship engines and machinery; execute engine room watches safely, perform maintenance tasks, update the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), and manage inventory of spares under guidance of the Chief Engineer. Must be familiar with SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state regulations; strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, emergency procedures, risk assessment, and troubleshooting. Essential skills include watchkeeping, clear communication, proactive maintenance management, and adaptability to modern technology. Demonstrated reliability in engine room teamwork and environmental compliance with quick response during technical issues and emergencies.
